Languages & Industries
Many language pairs are offered both from and into English and between other languages. We cover not only all European languages including Russian, Hungarian, Baltic languages and more, but also Turkish and Arabic.
As a dynamic and rapidly expanding company, we have developed the experience and knowledge required to confidently undertake legal, commercial and technical projects including tourism, scientific, automotive, telecoms, chemicals and tobacco related texts, among many others.
Our Services
Here at Language Matters Worldwide, we offer many language-related services.
INTERPRETING, PROOFREADING, EDITING, and, of course, DOCUMENT TRANSLATION.
In addition to these services for which we have excellent client testimonials, our WEBSITE TRANSLATIONteam has the technical expertise to localise your site for the region you require using a cost-effective and efficient technique that means we stand out from our competitors.
Interpreting can be described as the verbal "transfer" of information between languages.
There are several forms of interpreting which are as follows.
The professional interpreter service is available throughout the North West, North Wales and Midlands regions.
We charge reasonable rates for an outstanding service and the linguists are Chartered Institute of Linguists/ITI accredited and Home Office approved.

REVIEWS
Consecutive interpretation
1)One party says a sentence in his/her language
2)The interpreter "transfers" what has been said into the other speaker's language.
And so on.
Commonly used in interviews, meetings in business scenarios, etc
Simultaneous interpretation
The interpreter is interpreting what is being said as it is being said without pause.
Commonly used in court, conferences, focus groups, meetings, presentations etc.
Liaison/Ad Hoc interpreting
This is where it is not essential that every piece of information is interpreted, perhaps enough of what is being said to get the "gist" of the conversation or selected parts thereof.
Commonly used during tours, exhibitions and other informal events, where the participants have an understanding of the language but require clarification on certain points.

Professional
You can expect attention to detail, efficiency and the utmost professionalism whether your project consists in 100 words or 100,000 words.
Translation
Translation work is always carried out by a translator with expertise and experience appropriate to your project who will translate into his/her native language. Your translation will then be checked by a second qualified and experienced linguist and submitted for final review before delivery to you.
Our qualified and experienced team will provide you with quality, accurate results for all your translation needs.

For translation services I would highly recommend Julie - cost effective yet with work of a very high standard. I would have no hesitation to use her again.” June 16, 2011
Expertise
With almost 20 years professional experience working in the legal sector and as professional linguists and project managers, we are proud to apply this expertise to our translation offer.
Our legal and commercial work, covering many legal fields, brings us into frequent contact with clients from all walks of life and from various commercial and industry sectors.
Certified translation
Many situations arise where you may be asked to provide a certified translation of a particular document. This is not the same as a “notarised translation” which must be authenticated by a qualified solicitor and will incur costs in addition to the translation fee.
More about certified translations.
Website
Localisation
Judging a book by its cover
Unfortunately, most of us do this, therefore it is important for any translation to read as though it were written in that language with all cultural, social and linguistic nuances accurately conveyed. This is even more important for your website as your next new client will draw their first impression of your organisation from this, and often, from your home page alone.
In addition to its well established and highly recommended language translation services, Language Matters Worldwide is pleased to offer a website localisation service for all sectors and industries, in particular, the hotel and catering industry. Most of the languages we offer can be integrated into your website.
In a nutshell
The localisation of your website includes:
Our complete website localisation solution
Our website localisation service not only includes the translation of the content itself, which all translation businesses can offer, but also the complicated and time-consuming insertion of xhtml/html coding for various foreign accents and characters, etc. This is usually done by a professional webmaster which greatly increases the overall cost of having one's website translated into another language.
Combining both linguistic and technical skills, our expert team can work directly into your xhtml/html files and this means that you end up with an identical copy of your original web pages in the foreign language(s) you requested. This greatly reduces the total time and financial cost of localising your website since all your webmaster has to do is create links from your original website to the translated version.

Eric Mallet | Language services industry
“J'ai eu le plaisir d'établir une relation de travail et de confiance avec Julie sur quelques dossiers de traduction très intéressants. L'attitude professionnelle de Julie est irréprochable, sans oublier sa sympathie naturelle. C'est également avec beaucoup de satisfaction intellectuelle et professionnelle que j'ai pu traité les dossiers de traduction de l'anglais au français que celle-ci m'a envoyé. Julie est une partenaire de travail sérieuse et sur qui on peut compter en toutes occasions.”
Daren Vythelingum | CyT, UK (Wine industry)
“Julie was impeccable. On such short notice and with limited information, Julie was able to interpret all aspects of the Audit with amazing detail, which is no easy matter considering some of the technical information/aspects involved. Julie’s real time interpreting was extremely impressive, let alone concise, accurate and very literal to our explanations. All of our translation needs were catered for across many technical aspects over the two days, to which nothing was questioned, which can only reflect on the accuracy and detail of Julie’s linguistic skills & knowledge of Latin American Spanish. In the short time of two days, Julie built a great rapport with our Chilean counterparts which made the entire process easing for all parties involved, more so for the UK parties. Punctual, well presented, immaculate translation/interpreting and extremely professional at all levels, I would certainly use Julie’s expertise again for any of my translation and or interpreting needs.” June 15, 2011
Paul Mitchell Davidson | Freelance composer, orchestrator, musical director and arranger
“Julie Ann of Language Matters Worldwide, assisted my wife and myself, when we came to live permanently in Portugal. Not speaking the language was difficult in everyday life, but it was most difficult where my career was involved. I am trying to build a new career here in Portugal and the rest of Europe, and it was most important that I was able to reach people on their own language level. It would not have been sufficient to use just a general translator, as I am a composer, arranger and music director, so I needed to have a first-rate translator who was fully qualified in all aspects of translation. Julie Anne translated, at some length, various introductions for me and also, copies of my curriculum vitae. In this way, I was able to approach, and impress at all levels. I would seriously recommend Language Matters Worldwide to any person with a personal or business problem. They deliver! Paul Mitchell-Davidson.” June 8, 2010
